In the lead up to the issuing of voting material which is between Monday 22 October to Friday 26 October, the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council will be holding a “Meet your Candidates” evening on Monday 22 October commencing at 7.00pm at the Auburn Institute.

Temporary Road Closure - MINTARO

Wakefield Street, Mintaro will be closed to all through traffic from Monday 15th October to Friday 19th October 2018 for stormwater pipe repairs. The road will be closed at the red area on the map below with access to Min Man Road via Burra Street and Jacka Road. Detour signage will be in place.

Clare Township Development Plan Amendment – Public Consultation Period Closed The Clare Township DPA public consultation period has now closed. The following submissions have been made and can be viewed via the link. Thank you to those that provided their submissions. These will now be considered by Council’s consultants who are preparing the Draft DPA.

Riesling Trail (portion) public consultation lease

Council has care and control over pieces 100 and 101 Crown Record 6072/850 – Crown Land along the former railway line passing through the Auburn township. In accordance with the Local Government Act 1999 Council proposes to lease this land to the Riesling Trail Inc for the purpose of incorporating it into the Riesling Trail walking & cycling trail. The proposed period of the lease is 42 years. Copies of the Proposed Lease Agreement can be downloaded below or viewed at Council’s offices at Clare, Riverton & Saddleworth. Written submissions on the proposal must be submitted no later than 5pm on Wednesday, 17 October 2018. All submissions should be emailed to admin@cgvc.sa.gov.au with the subject “Riesling Trail – Lease ” or posted to: The Chief Executive Officer, Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council, 4 Gleeson Street, Clare, SA 5453. Audit Committee Membership - Expression of Interest

The Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council is seeking expressions of interest from members of the public for the role of independent member of Council’s Audit Committee. The role and functions of the Audit Committee are prescribed by the Local Government Act, 1999. Interested persons will have risk management and financial experience relevant to the functions of an audit committee. Experience in local government matters would be an advantage. Regional Bridges Upgrade - Farrell Flat Bridge and Culvert

The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) I s upgrading the bridge and culvert on Farrell Flat Road near Clare. Works are scheduled to commence Monday 17 September and be completed by late December. See below for details.
