Round 2 2016/17 Community Asset Grants

$9,000 ALLOCATED. Up to $2,500 each. This is the second round for the 2016/17 financial year. Due to an unallocated balance from the first Round, another of of $9,000 is hereby announced. Community Groups from within the Council area are encouraged to apply for small grants to assist in local asset development. Those who received funding in Round one are ineligible for Round 2.

Public consultation - Review of Elector Representation

Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council PUBLIC CONSULTATION Review of Elector Representation NOTICE is hereby given that the Council has undertaken a review to determine whether alterations are required in respect to elector representation, including Ward boundaries and the composition of Council. As an outcome of this review Council proposes the following. 1. The principal member of Council continue to be a Mayor. 2. The Council area not be divided into Wards (i.e. the existing "no ward" structure be retained). 3. The future elected body of Council comprise eight (8) area Councillors and a Mayor elected by the community. 4. That the name of the Council area not be changed. Report Council has prepared a Representation Review Report which details the review process, the public consultation undertaken and the proposal Council considers should be carried into effect. A copy of the report is available on the Council's website (, or a copy can be inspected and/or purchased at the Council office, 4 Gleeson Street, Clare and/or the branch offices at 21 Torrens Road, Riverton and 19 Belvidere Road, Saddleworth.
