Library Technician

12 month full-time contract position

An opportunity exists for a twelve month contract for a Library Technician, primarily based at the Clare Public Library, beginning May 2020. Applicants must have Australian residency status.

The successful applicant would be able to participate in a team approach to the day to day operational requirements of a public library service. This includes use of the SA Onecard SirsiDynix Symphony library management system, including the catalogue, serials and analytics modules, Microsoft Office, database management and internet. Excellent digital literacy skills are essential, as are communication skills and experience in interacting with the community from a customer service perspective.

An active contribution in the development, design and delivery of various creative, skill building and education programs, including preschool story time, baby rhyme time, school holiday activities, primary STEM and coding, digital and adult programs and events, as well as design and delivery of marketing materials for promotional events, is also a requirement for the position.

A Library qualification would be highly regarded as would previous cataloging and serials experience using the One card Symphony LMS.
