Presiding Member and 4 Independent Members
The Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council, in conjunction with the Regional Council of Goyder, Wakefield Regional Council and the Northern Areas Council, are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced members of the public to fill 5 vacant positions (vacant as of the commencement of the Planning and Design Code), being 1 Presiding Member and 4 Independent Members for the newly formed Mid North Regional Assessment Panel (RAP).
The RAP is responsible for assessing a range of Development Applications against the provisions of the Planning and Design Code created via the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016 (PDI Act).
The Mid North RAP will be a newly formed RAP and will cover the council areas of Clare & Gilbert Valleys, Northern Areas, Wakefield and Goyder.
The successful applicants must have skills and knowledge and be accredited at a minimum level 2 Accredited Professional pursuant to the PDI Act.
The successful candidates may be subject to Ministerial Approval. The RAP would commence once the Phase 2 Code is implemented. This is currently proposed to be in July 2020.
RAP meetings are normally held monthly or on an as need basis at the Clare & Gilbert Valleys Council Chamber, 4 Gleeson Street Clare. A remuneration fee is payable for each meeting.
