Incinerators are non flammable structures which contain a fire within their surrounds which are used for the disposal of dry non toxic materials.
As you may appreciate, a poorly constructed incinerator may have openings in which embers & other matter can escape.
For this reason all incinerators must be constructed to comply with the Australian Standard.
An incinerator that is not built to the AS/NZ Standard will require a Schedule 9 Permit prior to burning material.
Prior to lighting the incinerator, please contact Council to organise an inspection of the incinerator to confirm whether you will require a Permit to use the incinerator during the Fire Danger Season.
