Code of Practice
The Code requires suspending grain harvesting operations when the local actual Grassland Fire Danger Index exceeds 35.
A copy of the Code of Practice and handy stickers that can be stuck in your harvester easily show how to work out the Grassland Fire Danger Index using wind speed, temperature and relative humidity.
These stickers and information brochures about the code are available the Council Offices.
